Retention levels for ProSelect pressure-treated wood are reduced because the micronized copper particles attach to the wood cells and do not leach. Therefore, less copper is required to achieve long-term effectiveness against rot and decay.
ProSelect is building-code compliant and exhibits corrosion rates on metal products similar to CCA pressure-treated wood. ICC – ES Legacy Report, ESR 1721.
